Aciphex Dosage for Healing of Duodenal Ulcers

The recommended starting dose of Aciphex for the healing of duodenal ulcers is Aciphex 20 mg once a day after the morning meal for four to eight weeks. If the ulcer has not healed, your doctor may recommend treatment with Aciphex for another eight weeks.

Aciphex Dosage for H. Pylori Treatment

Treatment to kill Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) involves using two other drugs besides Aciphex. This therapy is called "triple therapy." Triple therapy to kill H. pylori uses Aciphex 20 mg (twice daily), plus amoxicillin 1,000 mg (twice daily), and clarithromycin 500 mg (twice daily). All three medications are taken for seven days.

Dose of Aciphex for Pathological Hypersecretory Conditions

The recommended starting dose of Aciphex medication for people with excess acid production is Aciphex 60 mg a day. Your healthcare provider may choose to increase the Aciphex dosage if symptoms continue or decrease the dose if side effects occur.
