An Introduction to Aciphex Side Effects
As with any medicine, there are possible side effects with
Aciphex® (
rabeprazole sodium). However, not everyone who takes Aciphex will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate the drug well. When people do develop side effects, the symptoms are usually minor, meaning they require no treatment or are easily treated by you or your healthcare provider.

Possible Side Effects of Aciphex
Aciphex has been studied extensively in clinical trials, with over 2,900 people worldwide having been evaluated.
In these studies, side effects occurring in a group of people taking the drug are documented and compared to those that occur in another group not taking the medicine. This way, it is possible to see what side effects occur, how often they appear, and how they compare to the group not taking the medicine.
Based on these studies, the most common side effect of Aciphex, occurring in more than 2 percent of patients, was
headache.
