Cytotec 100 Mcg Tablet

Cytotec® (misoprostol) is licensed to reduce the risk for stomach ulcers and complications from ulcers in people taking nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). This prescription drug comes in the form of a tablet that is typically taken four times a day.
 
Cytotec tablets come in the following strengths:
 
  • Cytotec 100 mcg (0.1 mg)
  • Cytotec 200 mcg (0.2 mg).
 
Although the usual recommended dosage of Cytotec for preventing stomach ulcers in people taking NSAIDs is 200 mcg four times a day, your healthcare provider may lower your dose to 100 mcg of Cytotec tablets four times a day if you develop intolerable side effects.
