Cytotec 200 Mcg

Adults who are taking nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and are at risk for problems with certain types of ulcers may receive Cytotec® (misoprostol). This drug is specifically designed for use in people who are using NSAIDs and have a risk for developing stomach ulcers or have had an ulcer in the past.
 
Available in the form of a tablet, Cytotec comes in two strengths:
 
  • Cytotec 100 mcg (0.1 mg)
  • Cytotec 200 mcg (0.2 mg).
 
The recommended dose of Cytotec is 200 mcg taken by mouth four times daily. If you develop intolerable side effects, you may need a lower amount.
