The recommended famotidine dosage for pathological hypersecretory conditions (such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome) is 20 mg to 160 mg, taken every six hours, depending on the severity of the condition.

Over-the-Counter Famotidine Dosing Guidelines

It can also help relieve symptoms once they occur. No matter what strength is used (10 mg or 20 mg), no more than two tablets should be taken in 24 hours.
