GERD Medication

There are several different types of drugs that can treat
 gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). If it is necessary to treat your GERD, the product that your doctor recommends will depend on the severity of your symptoms. For some people, non-prescription medications may be enough, especially if combined with changes in diet and lifestyle. If lifestyle changes and over-the-counter drugs do not improve symptoms, however, the doctor can prescribe additional GERD medication.
