Prevacid 24HR Medication Information

Prevacid® 24HR (lansoprazole) is a drug used to treat heartburn. It belongs to a class of medications known as proton pump inhibitors. This product is available without a prescription, and is taken once a day (each morning before eating) for 14 days. This course of treatment may be repeated once every four months, although in some cases, your healthcare provider may recommend more frequent use.
 
Prevacid 24HR decreases the amount of acid in the stomach by blocking the acid production sites. This action can help relieve heartburn and other symptoms.
