Sucralfate Drug Information

If you have duodenal ulcers, sucralfate (Carafate®) can help treat them and prevent them from recurring. This prescription medication comes in the form of tablets and an oral suspension (liquid). It is usually taken four times a day (to heal ulcers) or twice daily (to prevent the ulcers from recurring).
