Licorice? Licorise is a common misspelling of licorice.
Licorice is used as a dietary supplement for treating various medical conditions. It may work for treating ulcers and other similar problems, such as indigestion or heartburn, by blocking the breakdown of prostaglandins (substances that help protect the stomach). It may also affect certain hormones and hormone receptors. Although licorice may provide a number of benefits, it could also be dangerous for some people. Talk to your healthcare provider before using licorice supplements if you have cancer, heart disease, or impotence.
