Nexium® (esomeprazole magnesium) is a prescription medication approved to treat several health conditions involving the esophagus, stomach, and intestines. Some of the conditions it is used to treat include gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, and H. pylori infections. As with any medicine, there are possible side effects with Nexium. Common side effects seen with this drug include headaches, diarrhea, and nausea.
