Alternatives to Nexium

Nexium is part of a class of drugs called proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). Several types of proton pump inhibitors are available by prescription only. These include:

Prilosec^® OTC is another proton pump inhibitor that is available without a prescription. It is an alteration of the chemical structure of Nexium (in other words, it is similar, but different).
