Most people who take Nexium® (esomeprazole magnesium) will not experience any problems. However, side effects are possible and may include things such as nausea, headaches, and diarrhea. In most cases, the side effects of Nexium are minor and are easily treated. There are also other, rare side effects that can occur while taking this medication. Some of these rare side effects include chest pain, blurred vision, and difficulty swallowing.
