Nexium Uses

Nexium Uses in Children

Nexium has been approved to treat GERD in children ages 1 to 17 years old. Since young children usually have trouble swallowing capsules, Nexium also comes in packets of powder (mixed with water to make a liquid suspension).

Off-Label Nexium Uses

On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend certain drugs for treating conditions other than those for which they have been approved. This is called an "off-label" use. At this time, there are no known off-label uses for Nexium.
