Alternatives to Nizatidine

For most people, nizatidine is quite effective at treating GERD, ulcers, or other digestive problems. It is also generally well-tolerated. However, it is possible that nizatidine side effects will occur or that the medicine may not work as well as needed. In these cases, your healthcare provider may recommend an alternative to nizatidine. Some examples of substitute medications include:

Overdose With Nizatidine

People who take too much nizatidine may have overdose symptoms that could include:
 
  • Watery eyes
  • Increased salivation
  • Vomiting
  • Constricted pupils
  • Diarrhea.

Nizatidine Storage Methods

Nizatidine should be stored at room temperature away from moisture or heat. The capsules and tablets should be kept in an airtight container.
