Nizatidine should be stored at room temperature away from moisture or heat. The capsules and tablets should be kept in an airtight container.
Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children.
What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose?
If you do not take your nizatidine as scheduled, take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose of this product.
Is There a Generic Version?
There is currently both brand-name and generic prescription nizatidine licensed for sale. However, there is no generic non-prescription nizatidine AR licensed for sale.
Prescription nizatidine capsules are made by Reliant Pharmaceuticals, while prescription nizatidine oral solution is made by Braintree Laboratories. Over-the-counter nizatidine AR is made by Whitehall-Robins. Generic nizatidine is made by several manufacturers.
Prescription nizatidine is available in the following strengths:
- Nizatidine 150 mg capsules
- Nizatidine 300 mg capsules
- Nizatidine oral solution 15 mg per mL (a bubble gum-flavored liquid version of nizatidine).
Over-the-counter nizatidine is available in one strength -- nizatidine AR 75 mg tablets.
