Side Effects of Nizatidine

Side Effects of Nizatidine to Report

There are a number of less common but more serious side effects of nizatidine that you should report to your healthcare provider. These include but are not limited to:
 
  • Confusion, agitation, or hallucinations
  • Symptoms of liver problems or hepatitis, including yellowing of the eyes or skin, pain in the upper right side of the abdomen, and dark urine
  • Signs of an allergic reaction, including an unusual rash, hives, itching, wheezing, trouble breathing, or swelling of the mouth or throat.
     

Rare Side Effects of Nizatidine

There are other nizatidine side effects that can occur. These side effects have occurred in very few patients taking the medication. It is difficult to tell whether these side effects are actually caused by Nizatidine itself or something else.

It is possible that you may experience some or none of the nizatidine side effects explained above. Unfortunately, there is no way for your healthcare provider to know beforehand if you will have side effects from a medicine that you have never tried. Therefore, make sure to let your healthcare provider know if you develop any side effects, or anything that "just does not seem right," while taking nizatidine. While it may not be a side effect of nizatidine, your healthcare provider will be able to diagnose and treat the problem.
