In previous clinical studies, some of the most commonly reported side effects of Pepcid® (famotidine) included headaches, dizziness, and diarrhea. Although most people have no problems when taking the drug, there are potentially serious Pepcid side effects to be aware of, such as signs of an allergic reaction, irregular heart rhythms (arrhythmias), signs of liver problems, and seizures.
