Prevacid Drug Interactions

For people taking Prevacid, drug interactions are an important consideration. Prevacid has the potential to interact with a number of different medications. Possible drug interactions with Prevacid involve medications such as digoxin, ketoconazole, and theophylline. Other drugs that may interact with Prevacid include warfarin.

Atazanavir
Do not combine Prevacid with atazanavir, since Prevacid can significantly reduce the level of atazanavir in your blood (making it less effective).
 
 
Digoxin
If you are taking both Prevacid and digoxin, your body may metabolize them differently than intended. Your healthcare provider may choose to monitor your progress closely.
 
Ketoconazole
If you are taking both Prevacid and ketoconazole, your body may metabolize them differently than intended. Your healthcare provider may choose to monitor your progress closely.
 
Theophylline
If you are taking both Prevacid and theophylline, your body may metabolize them differently than intended. Your healthcare provider may choose to adjust your theophylline dose and monitor your progress more closely.
