Prevacid? Prevecid is a common misspelling of Prevacid.

Prevacid® (lansoprazole) is a medication often used for treating conditions such as duodenal or stomach ulcers, GERD, and erosive esophagitis. It is available by prescription only and comes in tablet, capsule, and liquid form. By reducing the amount of acid in your stomach, Prevacid can improve heartburn and other GERD symptoms, and allow any damage to the esophagus, stomach, or intestines to heal. While most people have no problems with this medication, potential side effects include constipation, nausea, and diarrhea.
