Provacid

Prevacid® (lansoprazole) is a prescription medication used for treating various conditions affecting the esophagus, stomach, and intestines. It is approved to treat GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease), ulcers, erosive esophagitis, H. pylori infections, and pathological hypersecretory conditions. By blocking acid production sites in the stomach, Prevacid can help decrease the amount of acid in the stomach, which helps to relieve symptoms of these various conditions. The medication comes in a tablet, capsule, or liquid form that should be taken before eating.
