Prilosic OTC

Prilosec OTC® (omeprazole magnesium) is a non-prescription medicine used for decreasing acid production in adults who have heartburn at least twice a week. It is a type of proton pump inhibitor that works by blocking acid production sites in the stomach. Prilosec OTC comes in tablet form and is generally taken once daily. You should talk to your healthcare provider before taking it if you have liver disease, are pregnant, or have had heartburn for more than three months.
