Prilisec

Were you looking for information about
Prilosec? Prilisec is a common misspelling of Prilosec.

A healthcare provider may prescribe Prilosec® (omeprazole) to treat certain conditions involving the esophagus, stomach, or intestines. This medication works to treat conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and gastric ulcers by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach. There is also an over-the-counter Prilosec OTC® (omeprazole magnesium) available for treating heartburn. Because the medication is not suitable for everyone, make sure to talk to your healthcare provider about your medical history and any other medicines you are taking (including vitamins and herbal supplements) before using it.
