Prilosec? Prilocec is a common misspelling of Prilosec.
Prilosec® (omeprazole) is a prescription drug approved for treating a number of conditions, including ulcers, GERD, Helicobacter pylori infections, and pathological hypersecretory conditions. It comes in capsule form and is taken by mouth once or twice a day. By binding to proton pumps (which produce acid), the medication is effective at decreasing acid production. Before starting Prilosec, make sure to talk to your healthcare provider if you are pregnant, have liver disease, or have any allergies.
