Of the three strengths of Prilosec® (omeprazole) on the market, Prilosec 20 mg capsules are in the middle of the range, strength-wise. A healthcare provider may recommend Prilosec to treat certain conditions related to the esophagus, stomach, or intestines. The dose of Prilosec your healthcare provider recommends will vary depending on a number of factors, such as your age, the medical condition being treated, other medical conditions you may have, and other medications you are currently taking (including vitamins and herbal supplements).
 
Prilosec Dosage for Duodenal Ulcers
The recommended Prilosec dose for duodenal ulcer treatment is Prilosec 20 mg for four to eight weeks.
