Prilosec Interactions

There are a number of drugs that may interact with Prilosec, such as Celexa, Valium, and iron supplements. Some of these Prilosec interactions can alter the amounts of medications in your blood, possibly decreasing the effectiveness of the drugs or increasing your risk of side effects. Ampicillin (Principen)
Prilosec can decrease the absorption of ampicillin into your bloodstream, perhaps making it less effective. Your healthcare provider may need to increase your ampicillin dose.
 
Atazanavir (Reyataz)
Prilosec can decrease the level of atazanavir in your blood, perhaps making it less effective. Your healthcare provider may need to increase your atazanavir dose.
 
Citalopram (Celexa)
Prilosec may increase the level of citalopram in your blood, perhaps increasing your risk of citalopram side effects. Your healthcare provider may need to decrease your citalopram dosage.
