Prilosec® (omeprazole) is a medicine commonly used for the treatment of conditions related to the stomach, esophagus, and intestines. It is specifically approved for treating gastric and duodenal ulcers, H. pylori infections, GERD, and pathological hypersecretory conditions. The medication, which is available by prescription only, comes in capsule form and is typically taken by mouth once or twice a day.
