Protonix Alternatives

 Protonix® (pantoprazole sodium) is a type of proton pump inhibitor that is often prescribed for the treatment of GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease).
 
Even though most people respond well to the drug, alternatives are available for those who develop side effects or do not see an improvement in their symptoms. There are five classes of drugs that are most commonly recommended for the treatment of GERD.
